The Researcher Awards were created as an annual award by the European Association for Palliative Care [EAPC] in 2009. The awards are designed to recognise the work of scientists and clinicians in the field of palliative care who have recently made, or are currently making an outstanding contribution to research and clinical practice. It aims to highlight the individual´s career development and their potential for the future.
Three prizes will be awarded.
Early researcher : the candidate should be at the early stage of a research career and hold a higher degree, PhD or equivalent
Post doc : the candidate should hold a PhD or equivalent, have performed independent research and have a substantial publication list
Clinical impact : The candidate should hold a clinical/academic qualification or equivalent, and be involved in clinical research and practice
Candidates can apply themselves, or be nominated by supervisor or similar. All professions working within palliative care research are welcome to apply, both clinical and non-clinical.
Applications will be accepted until 5pm on November 30, 2016.
The Scientific Committee will select one to present his/her work to an international audience by giving a plenary lecture at the 15th EAPC World congress. Travel costs, accommodation and registration fee will be covered. The other winners will be publicly honoured at the congress and at the congress homepage. The EAPC will be happy to cover their registration fee.
