The Brussels Pluralist Federation for Palliative and Continuing Care represents its members in various bodies :
Federal Palliative Care Evaluation Cell - Created in implementation of the law of 14 June 2002 on palliative care, this unit has the task of regularly evaluating needs with regard to palliative care and the quality of the responses provided. The professional organisations of palliative care providers participate in this evaluation. The observations of the palliative care evaluation unit are presented every other year in an evaluation report to the legislative Chambers.
Palliative Care Inter-Federation - Consultation body between the Federatie Palliatieve Zorg Vlaanderen, the Fédération Wallonne des Soins Palliatifs and the Brussels Pluralist Federation for Palliative and Continuing Care.
Conseil Bruxellois de Coordination Sociopolitique CBCS [Brussels Council for Sociopolitical Coordination] - An inter-sectoral coordination organisation recognised by the French Community Commission, the CBCS has the objective of surveying psychological, medical and social work and the policies concerned, and promoting exchanges between the various organisations.
Inter-Fédération Ambulatoire IFA [Outpatient Inter-Federation] - Working group of the CBCS of the appointed representatives of ten Federations in the social-health sector, with the aim of promoting consultation and exchanges of information.
Service Intégré de Soins à Domicile SISD [Integrated Home Healthcare Service] - A multidisciplinary consultation and information platform, the SISD is intended for all care and home care providers, as well as the patient and those close to him, in order to ensure that the support for the patient at home is as appropriate as possible.
European Association for Palliative Care EAPC - The EAPC brings together many voices to forge a vision of excellence in palliative care that meets the needs of patients and their families. It strives to develop and promote palliative care in Europe through information, education and research using multi-professional collaboration, while engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
